K2 Incense and “Spice” are specific brands of Synthetic Marijuana.
There are many brands of synthetic marijuana such as Spice, Cloud 9, Potpourri, Krypto, White Rhino (of which K2 incense has become the symbol of fake pot).. and a host of others which all ultimately claim to have the desired effect- to mimic the effects of Marijuana. The Health effects for these relatively new found designer drugs are slowly starting to trickle into the spotlight as research advances, and it is known that some of the
chemicals found in these cannabinoids have a similar structure to known carcinogens.
These harmful chemicals are sprayed on a proprietary blend of herbs and flowers, and marketed as synthetic marijuana and K2 incense. Some herbs used in k2 incense also dangerous.
Plants/herbs used in K2 incense:
Rhododendron tomentosum and Ledum palustre, some of the plants used in k2 incense, contain poisonous terpenes that affect the central nervous system. First symptoms of overdose are dizziness and disturbances in movement, followed by spasms, nausea, and unconsciousness. The mere smell of the plant may cause headache to some people.
