  • Police: Men Gave Teen K2 Incense, Bath Salts, Hid Her in Closet

    FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) –

Two people have been arrested after police say they gave a 17-year-old girl K2 incense and bath salts, then hid her in a closet for about 12 hours.

The police department and the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotic Unit (BURN) executed a search warrant on Friday at Down on Main on Eureka Drive. Down on Main sells synthetic marijuana, incense, glass pipes, water bongs and previously sold K2 incense and bath salts, which were banned last month.

Fairfield Township police received a series of complaints about the business, including the latest on Thursday, November 10.

At around 10:20 a.m. police say a 17 year-old female was taken to the shop by her boyfriend, Douglas Goins, 19, who is an employee there.  Also present was the owner, Richard Adams, 66.

According to the complaint, the juvenile was provided illegal bath salts and K2, became very dizzy, and was pushed into a closet and hidden when her mother arrived at the shop looking for her.  Having passed out, the female remained in the closet for approximately 12 hours until a third party came to the shop around 11 p.m. and found her lying in a laundry basket in the closet.

    David’s Story
    October 4, 1991 – June 6, 2010

David lived his life out loud. In fact, it was his energy and passion for life that makes his death so inconceivable and motivates us every day to tell his story. Just one week before his death, David walked across the stage to receive his high school diploma; a symbol of great accomplishment and great memories. A popular kid and excellent student, David was elected “class comedian” by his peers and successfully completed many AP courses during high school. He was a gifted musician who filled our hearts and home with music.

David met a group of his friends who were planning on attending some graduation parties together. They were all in a celebratory mood, having just graduated from high school. Apparently, some college students who were home for the summer told the boys about a legal substance called K2 incense that is smoked like marijuana. It could be easily purchased in stores and a few of the guys had purchased some that weekend at a local mall. Despite a sincere attempt by one of his friends to stop him, David smoked the K2 anyway and ninety minutes later, he was dead.
