  • The most probable cause of the Zombie Apocalypse

Let it be known that a pathogen may not be the only cause of a “zombie apocalypse.”

That being said, with the proliferation of synthetic marijuana and bath salts taking hold of the globe, a number of “odd” cases involving these drugs have started to come to surface in the past several weeks and months.  In addition to the three cases specifically mentioned in the previous article, here are several more, which all bear the same traits.

Keep in mind, it is currently unknown how many specific cases there are of such incidents, however the correlations between the “textbook zombies” and a bath salt overdose victims are striking.

There is a known theory to this phenomenon, and it lies within the victims body temperature while on bath salts. All incidents have reported significantly elevated body temperatures. The brain starts to cook itself, while the same time the body reacts by forcing the victim to remove their clothes. The brain stem remains slightly cooler than the rest of the brain, therefore only the most primitive bodily functions and instincts remain.

NYC BATH SALT ZOMBIE ATTACK (X2)

In late June of 2012, an emotionally disturbed  woman proclaimed to police that she wanted to “kill someone and eat them.” The police were summoned to a bar, at which point they were notified that she had consumed bath salts.  The arresting officer almost got his face off when he approached the woman.

Later that day, police were summoned when a 20 year old man threatened to kill his entire family. When they found him, he was punching a car.

    Another Florida bath salt zombie

Everyone is aware of the now famous Florida bath salt zombie, however there was a much similar case overshadowed around the same time.

A 22 year old man wandered onto a neighbor’s porch, climbed onto the roof and stripped down all while  the homeowner and son fought to protect their property. The father eventually had a chunk taken out of his stomach by the mans teeth, and a police man’s  leg was also bitten in the process.

Man Bites chunk out of another man’s face

In Lafayette Louisiana, a man bit a chunk out of another mans face after consuming bath salts. The man eventually stole a gun and took a hostage before finally getting subdued by police.

  • Zombie attack in Hawley PA linked to bath salts?

    HAWLEY, PA

In another raw series of twisted events, it appears that another man succumbed to the after effects of bath salts or synthetic marijuana. Although still unconfirmed, an incident in line with several other documented cases of bath salt or synthetic marijuana over dose has arisen in Hawley, PA.

The bizarre incident played out in the early morning hours of September 7th in Hawley Boro, which is in Wayne County, Pennsylvania.

77 year old gets hit by shovel: bath salts abuse

According to police sources, a 20 year old man by the name of Richard Ciminio Jr parked his car behind a random home in Hudson Street in Hawley, PA, then stripped almost completely naked. He then tried breaking into the home.. and when unsuccessful, he got completely naked and managed to break into a neighboring home.

He then jumped out a second story window, causing severe injuries to his legs and body.

The lunacy continued when Richard Ciminio proceeded to attack two females who were walking down the street. State Police said that Ciminio tackled one of the females, causing injury to her and covered her in his blood. Police said Ciminio then “began to gnaw” at the victim’s head while “screaming like an animal.”

Bath salts linked to zombie-like cannibalistic attack in Miami

They managed to escape and call police. When police arrived, they found the man “delusional and confrontational  in his behavior.” Despite his injuries, he had to be tazed, and eventually he punched a paramedic in the face.  Geisinger Community Medical Center treated Richard Ciminio for his injuries, however he is facing several charges including aggravated assault, burglary, breaking an entering, and others.

“It felt so evil. It felt like the darkest, evilest thing imaginable.”

This “zombie attack” is very similar to the most famous “Miami zombie” who was found to be under the influence of bath salts. A young man named Freddy Sharp recounts his story of plunging into darkness after ingesting bath salts.

  • College Football Expands its Synthetic Marijuana Drug Testing

College football to test for synthetic marijuana

Aegis Sciences corporation out of Nashville, Tennessee stated in a newsletter that as of September 10 It will be able to detect dozens of synthetic marijuana compounds as part of its drug testing regimen.

The NCAA Does not currently directly test for the substances even though they are on the banned list. However, contractors such as Aegis or perhaps conference testing can still uncover the use of these substances.

Synthetic marijuana is hard to detect because the chemical components it may be comprised f change so frequently to keep up with related state and federal bans. However, the drug testing industry is furiously playing catch-up, and Aegis in particular will soon be able to detect dozens of these compounds.

For the past two years, cases of the population consuming synthetic marijuana have steadily been increasing despite lawmaker’s efforts to curb or eliminate the sale of these substances.

Synthetic marijuana combines with the same receptors in the brain actual THC does, a bit in a different manner. Synthetic marijuana has been known to be more addictive and much more potent than its natural counterpart. Synthetic marijuana is also responsible for a long and growing list of side effects.

Aegis with about 100 Universities and colleges and the National center for Drug-Free Sport in Kansas City have a large portion of the drug testing market for university and college level athletic drug testing in the country. They have about 300 Colleges and universities total they serve for the NCAA for it’s random year round drug testing.

It also should be known that there are other private companies that manufacture and disperse synthetic marijuana drug testing kits to the public.
